Nature Connection

Whatever the question… the answer lies in nature

Nature Therapy

Nature therapy, or eco therapy, taps into the profound connection between humans and the natural world to support emotional healing and well-being.

We will blend our therapy work with invitational experiences in nature, helping you feel more grounded, reduce stress, and build resilience.

Just as secure relationships with significant people in our lives can nurture our emotional health, so can a deep connection with nature.

Through nature therapy, you’ll explore the calming effects of natural environments, whether through mindful walks in the woods or simply spending time in green spaces. It’s about rekindling that bond with the Earth, offering a holistic approach to mental health and personal growth.

This is turn can help to calm your mind and support trauma healing.

Is it time to re-wild yourself?

After many years of psychological research we know a few things about how humans work (at least the western middle-class humans who have been predominantly studied): we all need emotional security.

We’ve learned that as kids we need to feel secure and that this security comes from our relationships with our parents and caregivers. This idea forms the backbone of attachment theory.

But here’s the thing… security doesn’t only involve a parent and child in isolation. Our emotional world isn’t just shaped by our social environment; it’s also influenced by the natural world around us. Think about it: just as a secure bond with a caregiver can make us feel safe and grounded, so can a deep connection with nature.

We are raised by people, but we are also raised by the Earth. We have teeth and claws just like every other animal on the planet.

We come from the Earth. And we will go back to the Earth when we die. These are undeniable truths.

Maybe it’s time to rewild our understanding of emotional attachment and see the Earth as part of our emotional support system.

What are the ecological relationships that matter to your emotional world?

Nature Mentoring

Nature is the best teacher. She never lies and is infinitely generous.

Nature mentoring is a beautiful way to grow and deepen your relationship with the natural world.

By taking this journey you are prioritising what might be one of the most meaningful relationships of your life.

Nature mentoring is about tapping into the wisdom of the Earth. It’s about uncovering the wisdom within you that begins to show itself through that relationship

Solo hiking / solo wandering

Solo hiking or solo wandering is an incredible way to grow or deepen your relationship with Nature.

Sadly many women however don’t feel safe to hike alone.

Through our mentoring we’ll work at your pace to develop the confidence to wander freely, if that’s something your soul is yearning for

What science is discovering about nature connection

The benefits of time in nature are not only intuitive, but are long documented.

Spending time in nature can:

  • ease stress
  • ease depressive symptoms
  • improve your sleep

Just being in nature for short periods of time can reduce your stress hormones (cortisol), boost your feel-good hormones (serotonin).

Studies show it can lift your mood, strengthen your immune system, and make you feel happier overall. Nature has a way of drawing you in and giving you a big, comforting hug.

Feeling connected to nature improves your psychological resilience. And spending time with others outdoors can strengthen your relationships with them.

Even just admiring a wildflower can reduce your stress and boost your sense of belonging!

Time in nature can restore us.

So what are you waiting for?
